Program
Arrival in the area between San Gemini and Narni in the morning, followed by a transfer to a truffle ground for a complete experience dedicated to this prized Umbrian delicacy.
The experience begins with a short introduction about one of the region’s most precious gastronomic products and its production chain. Then, the truffle hunt begins — a fun and engaging outdoor activity in full contact with nature. Expert truffle hunters and their skilled dogs will accompany you on a scenic walk in search of the flavorful tuber.
Upon request and with prior reservation (and pricing based on the type of truffle found), the harvest may become the star of a tasting lunch. In the afternoon, transfer to the Terni area for hotel check-in. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
After breakfast, head to La Collina Incantata, a farm nestled in the gentle hills between Terni and Narni. Begin your walk through the iconic Umbrian landscape, characterized by fields and vineyards, where nature, shaped by human hands, shines in every season.
During the walk, you’ll visit a winery and its cellar, with a tasting of local wines — first and foremost Ciliegiolo — paired with typical regional products.
Afterward, enjoy a farm-to-table lunch based on Umbrian zero-kilometer ingredients.
Upon request, guests may take part in workshops on traditional bread-making, homemade pasta, cheese, or jam — depending on the season.
Return to the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.
After breakfast, transfer to Ferentillo. Meet the guide and begin an urban trekking tour of this small medieval village in the lush Valnerina valley. The town lies along a gorge, topped by two fortresses and split by the Nera River into two sections.
You will visit the Museum of the Mummies, which preserves several naturally mummified bodies discovered in 1805, an 18th-century olive mill, and a modern oil mill dating back to the early 1900s that is still active today, producing excellent organic EVOO.
After the visit, enjoy a tasting of olive oil and farm products from La Drupa, a local farm known for its use of melangola – a rare bitter citrus fruit native to southern Umbria, especially the Valnerina Ternana area. Its intense flavor enhances cheese, oil, and many local specialties.
Upon request, lunch can be arranged at the farmhouse featuring traditional regional dishes.
In the afternoon, visit the Marmore Waterfall independently, exploring the scenic trails of the park and admiring the tallest waterfall in Europe up close in all its splendor. Guided tours available upon request. Return to the hotel. Dinner at the hotel or a traditional osteria.
After breakfast, transfer to Piediluco to discover this small and charming fishing village on the lake of the same name. Enjoy a walk along the lakeshore and board a boat tour to explore the lake’s history, flora, and fauna.
At the end of the 40-minute boat ride, enjoy a typical lunch at a lakeside churrascaria, featuring grilled local meats.
