Program
Morning arrival in the area between San Gemini and Narni, followed by transfer to a truffle ground for a full experience dedicated to one of Umbria’s most prized gastronomic treasures.
The activity begins with a brief introduction on truffle varieties and the production process. Then, enjoy an engaging truffle hunt in nature, accompanied by expert truffle hunters and skilled dogs on a scenic walk in search of the precious tuber.
Upon request and with prior reservation (pricing based on the truffle variety found), the harvest may be used in a tasting lunch. In the afternoon, transfer to the Terni area for hotel check-in, dinner and overnight stay.
After breakfast, head to La Collina Incantata, a farm located in the rolling hills between Terni and Narni. Begin a walk through the iconic Umbrian landscape, surrounded by meadows and vineyards, where nature is beautifully shaped by the hands of tradition.
The tour includes a visit to a local winery and cellar, ending with a tasting of wines, primarily Ciliegiolo, paired with typical Umbrian products.
Optional farm lunch with local, zero-kilometer ingredients available upon request and prior booking. Return to the hotel, dinner and overnight stay.
After breakfast, transfer to Ferentillo for a visit to an 18th-century olive mill, a museum of traditional Umbrian cuisine, and a modern oil mill from the early 1900s, still active today and producing excellent organic extra virgin olive oil.
At the end of the visit, enjoy a tasting of oil, beer, jams, and other products from the local farm La Drupa, known for its use of melangola – a bitter citrus fruit typical of southern Umbria, especially the Valnerina Ternana area. Its strong flavor enhances cheeses, oils, and many traditional specialties.
Upon request and with prior booking, lunch can be arranged at the farmhouse featuring an authentic local menu.
In the afternoon, visit the Marmore Waterfall at your own pace along the panoramic trails of the park, admiring up close the tallest waterfall in Europe in all its glory.
