In Umbria among waterfalls and mysteries

Stay at the Marmore Falls and Narni Sotterranea
The Marmore Falls is the highest in Europe, but what characterizes it is the natural scenery in which it is immersed. An extraordinary plunge into the most intense green that enchanted travelers in all ages and struck the imagination of the romantic poets of the Grand Tour, such as Lord Byron who called it “…horribly beautiful.”
Today the waterfall is not only to be admired, but experienced. Six wonderful nature trails take visitors close to the rapids, face to face with the jumps of the falls immersed in the roar of the waters.
A visit to Narni Sotterranea is an intense and evocative experience inside underground places discovered beneath the former Convent of San Domenico in Narni.
The one-and-a-half hour tour will start from the church of Santa Maria della Rupe, passing through the remains of a Roman domus with cistern, to arrive at the Room of Torments of the Holy Inquisition and the small cell with graffiti. It will be a crescendo of emotions until the arrival in the former Church of San Domenico, now Auditorium Bortolotti.
