Two days of leisure and relaxation to discover the majestic Marmore Waterfall and the mysterious Underground Narni.
The Marmore Waterfall is the highest in Europe, but what makes it truly special is the natural setting in which it is immersed. A breathtaking plunge into the lush green that has enchanted travelers throughout the centuries and stirred the imagination of Romantic poets on the Grand Tour, such as Lord Byron, who described it as “…horribly beautiful.”
Today, the waterfall is not just something to admire – it’s something to experience. Six stunning nature trails take visitors close to the rapids, face-to-face with the plunges of the falls, surrounded by the thunderous roar of the water.
The visit to Underground Narni is an intense and fascinating journey into underground sites discovered beneath the former Convent of San Domenico in Narni.
The tour, lasting approximately an hour and a half, starts from the Church of Santa Maria della Rupe, continues through the remains of a Roman domus with a cistern, and reaches the Torture Room of the Holy Inquisition and a small prison cell covered in graffiti. Emotions build up as the tour ends in the former Church of San Domenico, now the Bortolotti Auditorium.
