Narni and Piediluco bike tour: waterfalls, lakes and mysteries

Check-in at the hotel and visit the Marmore Waterfall, the tallest in Europe. With a 165-meter drop, it offers a spectacular sight that amazes visitors from around the world.

Free time to explore the park on your own, walking among streams, small bridges, and paths surrounded by diverse plant life that make this natural setting truly unique.

After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to the hills of Narni, near an educational farm, which is the starting point of the guided e-bike ride to the medieval village of Narni.
The route takes you through the scenic Umbrian landscape, alternating between rolling hills and cultivated fields.
After around 40 minutes, you’ll reach Narni, with its narrow cobbled streets, stone houses, and ancient walls – a perfect place for a short break. The bike tour will let you explore its hidden corners, peaceful squares, and panoramic spots offering stunning views over the Nera River valley and the Abbey of San Cassiano.

While in the village, take part in a guided visit of Underground Narni, exploring hidden spaces beneath the former Convent of San Domenico. The 90-minute tour begins at the Church of Santa Maria della Rupe, continues through the remains of a Roman domus with cistern, reaches the Torture Room of the Holy Inquisition, and a small graffiti-covered prison cell, ending in the former Church of San Domenico, now the Bortolotti Auditorium.

Exiting the village, the route continues towards Tre Ponti and the Bridge of Augustus, then to Narni Scalo. From here, you’ll ride along the Narni-Terni bike path, which runs beside the Nera River, before joining the ancient Flaminia Road for a short stretch, and then heading uphill (easily manageable with e-bike assistance) before descending again along quiet country roads.

You’ll return to the starting farm at the end of the tour. During the ride, there will be time to stop and take photos of the breathtaking views of the countryside and Lake Recentino.
This experience is suitable from age 12, but depending on physical structure and bike handling skills, the guide will assess participants before starting.

After breakfast, transfer to Piediluco and meet the cycling guide for a loop e-bike tour around the lake, discovering its sounds and colors. The tour lasts around 3 hours, with breaks to enjoy the scenery and take pictures.

At the end of the ride, enjoy a relaxing boat tour and free time to walk through the charming lakeside village or taste delicious local lake fish, including the famous carbonaretti (charred lake fish) and flame-grilled European perch with a crispy outer finish.
